About this artwork
In 2016 I undertook a 3 month expedition in the heart of the Andes Mountains in Northern Argentina, Chile and Bolivia. This image is from Tolar Grande, Argentina, one of the remotest places in the world. At an altitude of 4000 meters, and reachable only by a dirt road that sometimes resembles a track, the landscape here takes on a surreal appearance, as if one is on an alien planet.
