In 2016 I undertook a 3 month expedition in the heart of the Andes Mountains in Northern Argentina, Chile and Bolivia. This image is from Tolar Grande, Argentina, one of the remotest places in the world. At an altitude of 4000 meters, and reachable only by a dirt road that sometimes resembles a track, the landscape here takes on a surreal appearance, as if one is on an alien planet. The colours are vivid despite the aridity. It is a place of incredible… solitude, and yet the human presence is made itself know because of a single dirt road to nowhere...
The image is digitally printed on high quality archival Hahnemuhle Fine Art Pearl paper with archival pigment ink. Signed and numbered on back.
Prints are made to order.
The paper size is A2 (42x59 cm) and the image size is 51x34 cm. Limited edition of 10 prints at this size.
