About this artwork
The vibrant use of bold colors against collaged text elements evokes a reflection on communication and identity in the modern age. Each component is designed to invite viewers to reflect on how words influence our perceptions of ourselves and others.
This captivating work skillfully fuses painting and collage, creating a stylized face in profile. Half is in vibrant blue, outlined by a bright orange hand, immediately drawing the eye. The other half… is covered in black and white newspaper clippings, adding intriguing texture and striking contrast. The large, expressive eyes lend depth and mystery to the whole. The background, black with white writing, adds a textual dimension, inviting the viewer to reflect. This bold assemblage of colors, shapes, and materials creates a visual and symbolic dynamic.
