About this artwork
Located right in the middle of the municipal park of Arcore on the outskirts of Milan, Villa Borromeo d'Adda was built in the mid-1700s by Abbot Ferdinando d'Adda. The most remarkable piece being this grand staircase and its lantern. Following the death of the count of the same name in 1979, the villa was closed and began its slow deterioration until the municipality decided to buy it back and renovate it to make it a museum and a new exhibition…
