About this artwork
This work tells the story of an encounter with a person whose inner self I couldn't understand at the time. It was about a heart that seemed hurt, disturbed, and broken, yet was also full of layers, patterns, and contradictory movements.
The spirals, lines, and organic forms represent an inner world that is not easily deciphered. Some structures appear open, others closed or protected. The image depicts a heart not as a clear symbol of love, but… as a complex, wounded space.
A Complex Heart is an attempt to make visible an encounter that only became more understandable in retrospect.
