About this artwork
In this work, I explore the duality of human nature through vivid surrealism that combines historical and mythological elements. The heroic and the vulnerable are intertwined in an eternal struggle, surrounded by the monumental aura of the Colosseum. Using acrylic, I wanted to convey a sense of eternal drama, inviting viewers to reflect on the internal struggle we all face. This painting not only enlivens the space with its intense visual impact… but also stimulates deep personal introspection.
The work is inspired by the film "Mamma Roma" by Pier Paolo Pasolini
Rosa Cacace, graduated in Fine Arts, explores acrylic art, embellishing the canvases with material elements. Drawing from stories and myths, her works fade between the figurative and the surreal aura, painting narratives that transfigure History into colors. The feelings she conveys are an emotional journey, where every detail evokes deep and studied interpretations.
