About this artwork
Inspired by the book "The Crazy Dance" by Victoria Mas. Late nineteenth century. In the famous psychiatric hospital of Salpêtrière, directed by the illustrious doctor Charcot (one of Freud's masters), a strange experiment takes place: a masquerade ball where the Paris-good can "meet" and see the patients of the mental hospital to the sound of waltzes and polkas.
Rosa Cacace, graduated in Fine Arts, explores acrylic art, embellishing the canvases with material elements. Drawing from stories and myths, her works fade between the figurative and the surreal aura, painting narratives that transfigure History into colors. The feelings she conveys are an emotional journey, where every detail evokes deep and studied interpretations.
