Port Douglas is a beautiful holiday town in Queensland, Australia. "St. Mary's by the Sea" is a non-denominal church which is a destination for many weddings from "down south".
I tried to capture the tender joy of a wedding day with a naive style that emphasizes simplicity and warmth. Viewers are invited to feel the celebration of friends and relatives mingling on that special day. Note the groupings and their interactions. This painting brings… a heartfelt, lively energy to any space, reminding us of togetherness and the beauty of life's special moments. In some way this painting represents what happens in most weddings all around the world.
