About this artwork
The constant pursuit of more leads humanity to the realization that less is actually better than more.
In this work I combine figurative elements with surrealist accents to create a vibrant depiction. The careful use of acrylic and oil paints gives the scene an intense texture and depth of color. It portrays a person literally immersed in a massive, almost unreal mass, symbolizing the confrontation with our own inner depths and sometimes overwhelming… emotions. This image is intended to encourage the viewer to explore their own feelings and accept the complexity of human emotions. It brings a powerful dynamic and profound reflection to any room.

« What motivates me most when painting is the idea that I'm creating a "new life" in the form of a painting that emotionally touches and affects other people. »
Rudolf Kosow is an experienced German painter who has exhibited his work in France and Germany. He works around three main subjects: humans, animals and landscapes, and is particularly interested in combining these components to create a special, unique atmosphere and aesthetic. Realistic figures meet in compositions in strange and surrealistic ways, leaving each viewer free to interpret each painting's ambiguity. His overall aesthetic is laced with intrigue and magic.
