About this artwork
With "Under the Surface", I am developing a research around stratification: of color, light, and visual tension. The composition is based on horizontal bands, constructed by superimposing flat areas, ruptures and materials. The surface seems stable, but beneath this formal organization, something more unstable surfaces: vibration, fracture, friction.
