🟥🟦 Mondrian — Homage (2024)
A personal nod to Piet Mondrian (1872–1944), created in 2024, 80 years after his death.
I wanted to transpose its iconic geometric language into my own material: straw — to create a dialogue between its codes and natural light and the unique vibration of the fibers.
This painting is part of a small series of tributes I created around his world.
Mondrian is one of the artists whose work deeply inspires me: not the… only one, but certainly one of those who have influenced my approach to color, structure, and balance.

I am a self-taught artist whose primary medium is straw marquetry, reimagined in a contemporary style. I employ meticulous techniques, playing with materials, light, and perception, oscillating between surface and volume, stability and transformation. My graphic style makes each piece an evolving visual experience. My work conveys an emotion of sensory and poetic discovery, inviting the viewer to contemplate light as a revealer of matter and to experience something unique depending on their position and surroundings.
