About this artwork
The bumblebee
Oil on canvas – 80 × 80 cm
I continue to explore my Echo of My Garden series with this new canvas, a veritable explosion of flowers where yellows, reds, mauves, and pinks intertwine. In this close-up, color becomes matter and energy, and a small bumblebee comes to wander in the upper left corner, like a discreet guest.
I'm working particularly hard on this series right now because it will be exhibited solo in April in Boussy-Saint-Antoine.… I can't wait to share it with you!

Credentials
- Works on commission
My name is Sabrina Alvarez.
As a painter and interior decorator, I live and create in Île-de-France, in a green setting where light, materials and seasons nourish my imagination.
Trained in applied arts and the architectural environment, I initially supported development projects before fully returning to painting, my first passion.
My work explores the boundary between figuration and abstraction, with attention to color, texture, and balance. I alternate between acrylic and oil on canvas, depending on the emotion or rhythm that each work evokes.
My inspirations: nature, inhabited interiors, abundant gardens (especially my own, in Varennes-Jarcy), but also ancient civilizations, period costumes… Everything that links the artistic gesture to human history and the senses.
Thank you for your visit, looking forward to exchanging ideas!
