About this artwork
In Nightfall from the Sanctuary series, the boundaries between photography and painting disappear. The choice of colors, the golden sun and the cold tone of the bare branches, are reminiscent of Van Gogh's works. The painter mixed a luminous, harmonious yellow with different shades of blue.
Behind a veil of dense, leafless trees, countless branches rise up before us, and suddenly we see the setting sun trying to bathe the surroundings in gold. Like… an invitation to follow it, like the beginnings of a journey.
