About this artwork
This photograph was born from the need to explore the body as a territory of vulnerability and fragility. I seek the rawest exposure of the human figure: a body reduced to darkness, trapped in a room with no way out, condemned to await an uncertain fate.
I've layered textures that serve as a metaphor for eroded skin, the memory of violence, and the invisible traces left by confinement and pain. The chiaroscuro accentuates this tension: the light… doesn't release, but rather outlines the figure as if holding it still in a moment of suspension. That dense silence before the scream is the true focus of the work.
Limited edition, signed and numbered, each work is printed on 310 gr., 100% cotton "Museum" RAG Photo Etching paper, with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist, as well as durability due to the use of pigmented inks.

Salva Nebot (Spain) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work has been exhibited in international institutions, galleries, and art fairs. His practice encompasses photography, painting, sculpture, and digital art, shaping a language that moves away from literal representation to explore subjective interpretation and the conceptual dimension. Influenced by the sensibility of German Expressionism, he articulates a critical reflection on perception, memory, and human experience. His work is characterized by formal rigor, the intense use of chiaroscuro, chromatic asceticism, and narrative fragmentation. Through light, shadow, and the superimposition of layers, he activates spaces of ambiguity and poetic density. His research addresses memory, absence, and oblivion, inviting the viewer to an interpretive threshold where the visible coexists with the latent.
