About this artwork
In this work, I sought to make light the true narrator of the image. Black and white allows me to strip the body of any chromatic distractions to focus the gaze on the shapes, volumes, and cadence of the pose. The composition is constructed from shadows: much of the body is hidden in shadow, while the side lighting barely caresses the skin, revealing fragments, insinuating more than revealing.
I wanted the female silhouette to shift between the… visible and the invisible, like a drawing traced by light in a dark space. The high-contrast technique accentuates the figure, creating an intimate and sculptural atmosphere.
Printed on 310gsm "Museum" RAG Photo Etching paper, 100% cotton, acid-free and free of optical brighteners. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist, guaranteeing the authenticity of the print and its durability due to the use of pigmented inks.

Salva Nebot (Spain) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work has been exhibited in international institutions, galleries, and art fairs.
