This is the biggest landscape painting I have created,
before panting it I made many preparatory sketches and premier-coups out in the lavender field near sault where I teach and paint with my students.
then I have brought back the alla prima's to my studio in Paris and developed them in to one complete composition .
I have implemented old master techniques in order to create this painting, I have also built the surface (with wood) which the painting… was painted on and have used archival materials with oil paints made with real pigments lead white ,cadmium, cobalt etc.
it is one of my most ambitious landscape paintings I have done in France.

« The world , nature, and life is a gift...for the short time I have on this earth I wish to capture some of its beauty in my paintings, it is my way to celebrate the “joie de vivre” and give back to the creator, the ultimate act of creating myself. »
