About this artwork
This image may inspire you to ground yourself regularly. Grounding is inner security and the resulting inner strength and calm. Grounding enables stability and basic trust. This is the deep trust in life, in the world and in other people. You feel safe and secure because you know that life is always for you. Grounding helps you to be with yourself, to relax and to feel connected to the "big picture".

« Art helps me to express myself when words are missing. It is my retreat and helps me to be with myself, to lose myself in my own world. »
Sandra Brugger (*1986) lives and works in Pettneu am Arlberg and Nesselgarten near Fließ in Tyrol (Austria). In 2013 she completed her sculpture training at the Technical School for Arts and Design in Elbigenalp (Tyrol). In the same year she became self-employed as a freelance artist. Brugger has participated in 15 (inter)national sculpture symposiums and her works have been exhibited nationally, but also in the USA, Germany and Italy.
The subjects in Brugger's works are wide-ranging and range from abstract forms to nature and people. In addition to sustainability, she also weaves socially critical themes into her works. Brugger usually models her distinctive objects from a self-developed wood paste, which she painstakingly produces from wood shavings and sawdust. In addition to this material, she also uses wood, concrete and stone.
