In this work, I captured a mixture of tension and uncertainty through the expressive figure of the cat. Its intense eyes and firm grip on the steering wheel symbolize a moment of rescue – both as an action and as a feeling. Sandra Fritz is a versatile artist who combines painting, drawing, and three-dimensional sculpture with wool needle felting. She studied at the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design and has received three art prizes. Her technique is characterized by a serial, intuitively driven creative process, in which she creates surreal liminal spaces and impossible landscapes imbued with emotions and memories. Her works invite viewers to experience intensity, contemplation, and childlike curiosity, reflecting a broad spectrum of themes. It is always evident that she approaches her subjects thoroughly and analytically. Subsequently, unconscious currents take over the creative process. Some of her paintings are held in public collections, while others are in private collections, for example, in Tenerife and Sicily.
