About this artwork
Soul of Love is a mixed media work on canvas (20 x 20 cm) depicting Pope Francis from behind, captured in the act of walking away. The figure, simple and silent, becomes a symbol of humility, transition, and listening.
Created a few days after his death, the work is not intended to be a celebratory portrait, but rather an intimate reflection on the Pope's spiritual and human dimension. The intense, layered color accompanies the idea of his journey… and his enduring presence, even in his absence.

Italy
I graduated in Painting from the Academy of Florence in 1988 and opened my first studio in Barga and later in Lucca. I have always explored the themes of women and the land as an identity, blending Tuscan tradition with 20th-century influences through my style, color, and materials: fresco, oil, earth, gold leaf, and concrete, murals, writing, tearing, and collage.
My female imagery ranges from nudes to posed portraits, while landscapes and nature become an inner mirror.
I dress Italian culture in pop, recounting historical personalities and contemporary icons with strong colors and verbal-visual clippings.
With instapainting I tried to unite art and social media, composing a social wall of ideas and moments with the slow pace of painting.
I have also exhibited in Chicago, London, Pietrasanta, Milan and Gardone Riviera.
