I graduated in Painting from the Academy of Florence in 1988 and opened my first studio in Barga and later in Lucca. I have always explored the themes of women and the land as an identity, blending Tuscan tradition with 20th-century influences through my style, color, and materials: fresco, oil, earth, gold leaf, and concrete, murals, writing, tearing, and collage.
My female imagery ranges from nudes to posed portraits, while landscapes and nature become an inner mirror.
I dress Italian culture in pop, recounting historical personalities and contemporary icons with strong colors and verbal-visual clippings.
With instapainting I tried to unite art and social media, composing a social wall of ideas and moments with the slow pace of painting.
I have also exhibited in Chicago, London, Pietrasanta, Milan and Gardone Riviera.
