An abstracted, impressionist landscape painting.
Sandy lives surrounded by banks on two sides of her home. Grasses weeds and flowers proliferate! This forms the basis of inspiration for many paintings, including this one. Through her kitchen window Sandy can see the early evening light creeping in, with longer shadows and slightly deeper skies.
She loves to use lots of watercolour like layers of quality acrylic paint, (Golden and Lascaux mainly)… and build up the painting quite slowly, she then drops, and spatters paint to create a rich varied paint surface.
This 40x100cm painting is unframed. It has white painted edges and is strung with picture cord ready to hang.
