Impressionist abstracted landscape painting.
Winter isn't very harsh generally where Sandy lives in south east England. The landscape can feel leached from vibrant colour, and greys, sage greens, pale skies and short days are the order of the day in January and February.
She use top quality Golden acrylics, and spends time layering the canvas with many shades of paint, flicking, using a palette knife, brushes rags and allowing paint to drip down… the canvas in order to create a rich textured paint surface.
This 30x100cm canvas is unframed. It has white painted edges and is strung with picture cord ready to hang.
