About this artwork
I aimed to capture a moment of deep reflection and quiet strength. The delicate details and soft shadows evoke vulnerability and hope, while the thoughtful gaze invites you to ponder dreams and possibilities. This painting captures the tender stage of a young girl on the verge of womanhood, her innocence, wonder and expectations as she awaits, and looks towards, the future.
The particular posture I chose to paint struck me as being special in some… way, exposing a vulnerability and elegance which touched me. This painting brings an intimate energy, perfect for filling any space with contemplation and the beauty of human emotion.
The size of the canvas is 40 x 50 cm, it is painted around the edges. A black/silver wooden box frame is included.
