About this artwork
There is something profound in the quiet, the way it holds space for emotions too delicate to be spoken aloud. That feeling is what I wanted to capture in A Whisper in Blue, a piece where texture, movement, and depth come together to express the beauty of silence.
Created with discarded materials, cardboard, tissue paper, watercolour paper, glass beads, charcoal, oil pastel, and thread, this collage is a fusion of old and new. Each element carries… its own story, yet woven together, they become something greater. Like memories layered over time, the materials blend into an intricate dance of colour and form.
Framed as if floating, the piece casts soft shadows that shift with the light, much like a whispered thought drifting in and out of awareness. A gentle breeze of sound, barely stirring the air. A murmur resting on the edge of silence, carrying secrets, intimacy, and the echoes of unspoken emotions.
