About this artwork
This piece is a quiet contemplation on nature’s extremes — and a subtle nod to the climate reality we can no longer escape. I wanted to weave together opposites: the delicate softness of white fur and the cold, unyielding surface of dark stone. The hare, timid and half-hidden in the scene, reflects both vulnerability and silent resilience.
The glimmer in the hare’s eye is created with a single drop of resin — the sparkle isn’t painted, but real… light reflecting off a curved surface.
The process demanded patience and precision; it moved forward layer by layer, requiring full presence — and offered no shortcuts. That’s why it now stands wrapped in a golden frame, as a quiet tribute to the time, tension, and tenderness it asked for.
