About this artwork
I moulded tranquility into form, kneading each emotion through clay to capture a serene moment - a breath of calm amidst chaos. My hands gave life to a vision of peace, where the closed eyes and gentle smile evoke a sense of inner stillness, inviting onlookers to pause and connect with a quieter part of themselves. This sculpture, a harmonious presence, is meant to infuse any space with the essence of stillness and grace.
One should wipe out the… sadness as much as possible in this journey called “life”, maybe s/he should cover it with due care for eternity. Does past leave a mark? Yes, it does… But, the marks should be softened, the injuries should be loved with cherish… Then, one should continue to travel. By believing in the power of the future and the creator while looking forward… To find serenity… We should walk this path without knowing where and when we encounter with this pleasant feeling…

Seda Eyüboğlu is a sculptor based in Istanbul, Türkiye whose works have been exhibited nationally and in various European countries susch as Italy, Germany. In her abstract and figurative pieces, she fuses emotion with the organic nature of clay. Eyüboğlu employs varying techniques that focus on texture, light, and the balance of shadows to create a sense of harmony comprised of "full and empty concepts, as well as an asymmetric rhythm within the symmetry".
