About this artwork
A forest of lines stretches out, dense and shifting. The ink lines twist, intersect, and soar like vines in an imaginary wind. Between them, ghostly human forms appear, melting into the foliage. The whole breathes, rustling with mysterious plant life.
I slipped into these inner woods to listen to what they had to say to me. The trees speak to me of balance, of silence, of a slowness we have forgotten. I wanted to paint the breathing of the world,… the sylvan part that still sleeps in our veins.
