About this artwork
“Shadow contours” feels like a moment between recognition and forgetting.
The title suggests an intermediate state: nothing fixed, nothing clearly defined. "Shadow Contours" evokes images of forms that are only suggested, almost there, but never quite tangible. It's less about what is visible than about what eludes us.
At the same time, there is something calm and quiet about it. No loud drama, but a still, almost meditative dwelling in the unknown.… A kind of limbo between perception and interpretation.
The true power of the work lies in this ambivalence; it does not invite recognition, but rather lingering in uncertainty.
My path to art was never straightforward; I've tried many creative careers, from web to print design. But drawing has accompanied me throughout my life. From an early age, I felt the urge to create something new and unusual, and I find that I'm best able to do so through abstract art. I participated in my first exhibitions while still at school and received several awards. Throughout my life, my style and themes evolved, always in harmony with my inner state and lifestyle.
Today, I live in Vienna and continue to explore a wide variety of techniques and forms of expression. My style has often undergone fundamental changes, but the search for uniqueness remains constant. I hope that you will find your own “foggy cosmos” of interpretation in my pictures.
