About this artwork
The upper part of the picture appears dry, almost dusty, like weathered clay walls or abandoned walls that once stored the sun. In the lower part, a cool brightness seeps into the picture, like frost settling over the past. A shimmering boundary runs between the colors, a transition from warm to cold, from life to stagnation.
The "Past Warmth" speaks of something that was once alive, but has now retreated into cold and silence. Weathering, aging,… erosion, as if this image were a slice of time itself.
No movement, no sounds, only the slow fading of the warmth. It conveys a sense of finiteness, of traces that remain even though the fire has long since gone out. For where there was warmth, an imprint remains, and even in the cold, there is brightness.
My path to art was never straightforward; I've tried many creative careers, from web to print design. But drawing has accompanied me throughout my life. From an early age, I felt the urge to create something new and unusual, and I find that I'm best able to do so through abstract art. I participated in my first exhibitions while still at school and received several awards. Throughout my life, my style and themes evolved, always in harmony with my inner state and lifestyle.
Today, I live in Vienna and continue to explore a wide variety of techniques and forms of expression. My style has often undergone fundamental changes, but the search for uniqueness remains constant. I hope that you will find your own “foggy cosmos” of interpretation in my pictures.
