About this artwork
Gray day in New York. My first time visiting the Statue of Liberty, a tourist and conceptual emblem of the city.
At that moment, I was thinking about what that iconic work represents worldwide. It was then that I decided to combine two ideas into a single photograph: freedom and my love for it. I asked my daughter to form the familiar, everyday shape of a heart with her fingers; we tried several times until I achieved the image I wanted...
