A distant desert landscape (dunes?) with figures,
Below is a list of the various stages of building the painting, this description fits many of my paintings:
1) Creating a generally dark background with a paint diluted in turpentine and a thick brush.
2) Apply paints with a spatula on the entire surface according to the artist's mind.
3) Inclusion of elements: figures or objects in one stroke of the spatula.
4) Covering and exposing with a thick… brush or putty knife.
5) I usually avoid a lot of repairs, I like to leave the "skeleton" of the work process exposed. Often the covering movements of the paint (Step 2) are reflected in the dark lines that are exposed. I tend not to touch them, they are an essential element of my painting.

Shalev Mann is a painter and photographer based in Israel where he has exhibited his compositions in both solo and group events. His abstract and abstract figurative artworks reflect his emotional state of mind concerning his "biographical background" In addition, Mann is fascinated by the relationship between light and the color of space. Through his art, he invites viewers to make their own discoveries. He is also deeply influenced by classical chamber music, which he listens to when creating.
