About this artwork
For a long time, I cleaned brushes during painting in turpentine and wiped them off with rags. At some point, I started wiping excess paint on plywood sheets or other canvases.
With this painting, I used this canvas as the palette for other paintings. This created large mounds of paint, which I worked into the final piece.
