About this artwork
This is the second work in what I have termed the "tych" series. The intention was to create 10 paintings with multiple panels, 1 to 10. The series was never realized. This painting was about getting a very heavy impasto, it is one of my paintings that deliberately investigates the 3-dimensional quality of paint. Painting as sculpture.
