About this artwork
This work was created to capture the deliberate intention of removing yourself from a particular status as you pivot to pursue your own dreams. Regardless of the opinion of others in your current circle. For me, I had just completed mx graduate degree and left a prestigious role in academics to pursue my full time artistic practice. I am forever grateful for the courage it took to chase my dream as I couldn't imagine any other path for myself.
