About this artwork
Neutral Territory is a large, colorful geometric abstract painting on canvas. Primarily neutral tones of tan, brown and black. This painting is part of my ongoing series "Intuitive & Intentional". My practice is a fluid exploration of line and color. This colorful, intuitive abstract painting is on unstretched canvas. I continue to experiment and evolve as an artist, trying different colors, materials and techniques constantly. Titled, signed… and dated on the back, the painting is on unstretched canvas and will be shipped in a heavy tube. Finished size given, 44 x 56 inches, allows for approximately 1.2 - 2 inches extra on each side for the piece to be stretched by your framer. Unstretched canvas measures approximately 48"x60".
« Art is entwined in my being, it always has and it always will be. »
Sharon Pierce McCullough is a multidisciplinary artist working as a painter and sculptor. Her experimental practice includes abstract expressionism and geometric abstraction, often in series. Her use of vivid colors is one of the most striking elements of her work, incorporating a thread of “fun”. She works spontaneously and intuitively, exploring the relationship of positive and negative space, color and form. Her original artwork has been collected and displayed in private homes, businesses, children’s hospitals and public buildings across the United States. She is an internationally recognized artist and author/illustrator of over 30 children's books.
