The faces here do not seek to resemble. They seek to transmit. Edges blur, light becomes language, and identity turns into a frequency… flickering between control and loss, the quiet hum of a self trying to survive inside a network of screens.

Sherif Makki is a painter with a classical oil painting background from the Faculty of Fine Arts, now working primarily in acrylic, and enriched by two decades as a Senior Art Director in Cairo, Doha, and Sydney. His restrained, contemporary figurative style hinges on disciplined composition, where figures arise from controlled color and shadow, inviting ambiguity and lingering psychological presence. Emotionally, his work quietly evokes the tensions of identity, belonging, and the silent endurance of being human within—and against—the pressures of society.
