This photograph is part of the series Near Home, a quiet exploration of the landscapes surrounding my everyday life in the Trier region of Germany. It captures a gentle transition between cultivated fields and the edge of the forest, where human presence gradually dissolves into nature.
The soft curves of the land guide the eye through layers of textures—dry grass, green slopes, and dense trees—while above, a drifting cloud introduces a fleeting,… almost sculptural presence in the sky. The scene feels both grounded and ephemeral, rooted in place yet constantly changing.
Rather than seeking distant destinations, this work reflects a deeper attention to the familiar—revealing how beauty emerges in silence, in repetition, and in the subtle dialogue between land, light, and time.
