About this artwork
In this work from my Forest series, the path leads gently into a veil of mist and winter light. Frost clings to branches and undergrowth, transforming the familiar woodland into a subtle, almost sacred space. The low sun filters through the trees, dissolving forms into soft layers of shadow and glow.
Photographed in the forest paths near my home in the Trier region, this landscape is deeply personal. I walk here almost daily, observing how light,… season and atmosphere reshape the same scene again and again. In winter, the forest becomes more transparent — reduced to structure, rhythm and breath.
Muted tones of silver, deep brown and pale gold create a contemplative mood, making this piece particularly suitable for calm interiors, modern living spaces or offices seeking depth and quiet presence.
Printed on Hahnemühle Ultra Smooth paper, the fine textures of frost and subtle tonal transitions are rendered with exceptional clarity.
