About this artwork
In this oil painting, I wanted to capture the powerful energy and symbolism of nature in transformation. Warm and cool tones juxtapose, evoking emotions of contrast and harmony. Each impressionistic brushstroke creates a wind of movement that transforms your home into a haven of strength and inner peace. Feel your soul flowing through the rapids, an invitation to rebirth.
That day we followed the stream as it slowly descended into the valley between… rocks and high cliffs, or so we thought. But in the early afternoon, after a flat stretch, we heard a loud noise coming from that very sharp bend down there. We thought it was a small waterfall, but instead we looked out over a drop of over 20 meters. We turned back to the fork we had left in the late morning. October 2, 1996
Silvano Crespi is a painter with a background in Political Science and a deep passion for oil painting, born from his study of the great European masters of the 18th and 19th centuries. He uses a reflective, introspective, and post-Impressionist technique, characterized by broad areas of color, a focus on light and shadow, vibrant colors, and perspectives that evoke infinity. His works, imbued with natural landscapes and atmospheric influences, convey an intense emotion of silent contemplation, celebrating the fleeting nature of time and the eternal relationship between the individual and the universe.
