From the series "Self-Portrait 2020" Self-portrait made during the pandemic in my home, Buenos Aires.
In this photograph, I capture the ephemeral and ethereal essence of human movement, contrasting it with the immutable solidity of nature. I use black and white to emphasize the interplay of light and shadow, creating an atmosphere of mystery and suspended time. Each element in the composition is a dialogue between the transient and the perpetual,… inviting us to reflect on our own existence in relation to the natural world.
Printed on high-quality, museum-grade cotton paper for long-lasting preservation. Signed and numbered on the back. Certificate of authenticity.
Also available in 50cm x 50cm and 30cm x 30cm sizes. Please inquire.
If the collector wishes, it can be shipped mounted and framed, ready to hang. Please inquire.

Silvina Batista (Argentina, 1973) is a contemporary fine art photographer whose work explores identity, inner states, and symbolic landscapes through stages of photography and poetic self-portraiture. Rooted in a conceptual approach, her practice uses the body as a narrative device, constructing images that oscillate between presence and absence, intimacy and distance. Her photographs evoke silent atmospheres, where light, gesture, and space become carriers of emotional and symbolic meaning. Batista's work has been exhibited in Argentina and internationally. Her artistic book of self-portarits is part of the permanent collection of The Center Ceramique Library in Maastricht, the Netherlands. She has been recommended by Singulart Gallery for presentation to galleries participating in Paris Photo, reinforcing the international projection of her work within the contemporary photography scene. She currently lives and works in Argentina. Not AI.
