In this digital black-and-white photo, I explore themes of identity and duplicity. The imagery of twin rabbit masks against a natural backdrop suggests a playful yet eerie juxtaposition. I aimed to capture the contrast between familiarity and the unknown, evoking a sense of intrigue. This piece suggests that beneath what we show to the world often lies deeper layers of complexity, urging viewers to ponder the masks we all wear. It brings a unique… blend of surrealism and reflection to any space, making viewers pause and delve deeper into their perceptions.

Silvina Batista (Argentina, 1973) is a contemporary fine art photographer whose work explores identity, inner states, and symbolic landscapes through stages of photography and poetic self-portraiture. Rooted in a conceptual approach, her practice uses the body as a narrative device, constructing images that oscillate between presence and absence, intimacy and distance. Her photographs evoke silent atmospheres, where light, gesture, and space become carriers of emotional and symbolic meaning. Batista's work has been exhibited in Argentina and internationally. Her artistic book of self-portarits is part of the permanent collection of The Center Ceramique Library in Maastricht, the Netherlands. She has been recommended by Singulart Gallery for presentation to galleries participating in Paris Photo, reinforcing the international projection of her work within the contemporary photography scene. She currently lives and works in Argentina. Not AI.
