De la serie "Autorretrato 2020" tecnica doble exposicion. Realizada durante la pandemia en mi jardin en Buenos Aires.
En esta obra, capturo la esencia etérea y casi fantasmal de la existencia humana, utilizando la técnica de sobreexposición para sugerir movimiento y transición. Las figuras, fusionadas con la naturaleza silvestre, invocan una reflexión sobre nuestra propia vulnerabilidad y la belleza intrínseca del ser humano en su estado más puro.… Esta fotografía, plasmada en blanco y negro, no sólo decora un espacio, sino que también infunde una profunda contemplación sobre nuestra conexión con el mundo natural.

Rooted in a conceptual approach, her practice uses the body as a narrative device, constructing images that oscillate between presence and absence, intimacy and distance. Her photographs evoke silent atmospheres, where light, gesture, and space become carriers of emotional and symbolic meaning.
Batista's work has been exhibited in Argentina and internationally. Her artistic book of self-portarits is part of the permanent collection of The Center Ceramique Library in Maastricht, the Netherlands.
