Self-portrait. From the series "Self-portrait 2020" Taken during the Pandemic, Buenos Aires.
In this work, I capture the subtle interaction between the human and the natural, wrapped in a veil of mystery in black and white. The contours and textures of the legs contrast with the organic softness of the soles, seeking to spark reflection on our intrinsic relationship with nature. This piece invites deep contemplation and an appreciation for the subtle… details of our everyday surroundings.
Printed on museum-quality cotton paper. Signed and numbered on the back. Certificate of Authenticity.
Also available in 50 x 50 cm. Consult.
Silvina Batista (Argentina, 1973) is a contemporary fine art photographer whose work explores identity, inner states, and symbolic landscapes through stages of photography and poetic self-portraiture. Rooted in a conceptual approach, her practice uses the body as a narrative device, constructing images that oscillate between presence and absence, intimacy and distance. Her photographs evoke silent atmospheres, where light, gesture, and space become carriers of emotional and symbolic meaning. Batista's work has been exhibited in Argentina and internationally. Her artistic book of self-portarits is part of the permanent collection of The Center Ceramique Library in Maastricht, the Netherlands. She has been recommended by Singulart Gallery for presentation to galleries participating in Paris Photo, reinforcing the international projection of her work within the contemporary photography scene. She currently lives and works in Argentina. Not AI.
