About this artwork
In my work, I wanted to capture an intimate and suspended atmosphere. The soft tones and golden textures of the ancient Venetian cotton embellish the pictorial texture, evoking metaphysical atmospheres. With eco-sustainable acrylics and water-based enamels, I have restored the materiality of the fabrics and the emotion of a place that inspires serenity and a sense of peace in your home.

Simone Butturini is an award-winning Italian artist whose works have been widely exhibited nationally, as well as in Austria, Germany, Canada, and Switzerland. Inanimate objects are the true protagonists of his scenes, in a kind of "existential realism" born in Milan in the 1970s by artists such as Gianfranco Ferroni and Giuseppe Guerreschi. In keeping with artists of his generation, Luca Pignatelli and Giovanni Frangi, Butturini's "Interior Painting" is more interested in portraying the traces of human presence and the "places of the hidden soul." His gestures translate into a progressive construction and erasure of form in a compelling dialogue between figuration and abstraction, on the threshold of reality.
