About this artwork
This work is titled Circus. While I paint it, he reflected on a lot of things, I play with words, I think about circuses. The first thought that attacks me, without permission, is that circuses scare me from a very young age. I always thought that if I went to one they would rob me, like a space where children were robbed. Perhaps the second thing that happens in my mind is that the animals of circus life make me sad, like any animal from which men…
(and women) steal their freedom and act as superior beings. But I read, I search, and then I find out how long circuses have been around, that they begin as a show to amuse the people, with a lot of art and with such a beautiful end, to amuse, make people laugh, express themselves, in times where people they were in another plan, to survive and take care of their backs. So I think that art always looks for a way to sneak in, to make itself visible, to make itself felt.
