About this artwork
A child climbs an impossible ladder made of colorful helium balloons. This work explores the imagination of children, that space where logic does not yet limit what is possible.
While adults imagine within preconceived ideas established by logic, a child's imagination, which still lacks it, offers magical and wild perspectives. We are accustomed to seeing depictions of helium balloons tied to objects and people who help them rise, but only a child… would attempt to climb them.
The balloons are painted with metallic highlights in red, yellow, blue, and green.
