About this artwork
This piece arose from my fascination with the animal kingdom and surrealism. I painted this animal portrait of an inflatable stoat using acrylics to blend realism with a touch of surrealism and pop art. I wanted to capture a sense of lightness and playfulness, but also a certain tenderness. The overall effect is a contrast between the metallic animal and an antique pink background.
