About this artwork
With brushstrokes of oil paint, tar, and gold leaf, I captured a profound mystery, where the past and the symbolic intertwine. I wanted to convey human duality: light and shadow, fragility and strength. This work brings an intense, almost sacred energy to your space, inviting reflection and the discovery of secrets hidden behind that enigmatic gaze.
Sol Halabi
United States
Sol Halabi's work fuses the figurative realism of the female face with experimental techniques: oil, pigments, waxes, marble dust, and gold leaf applied in an alchemical process. Her pieces inhabit a threshold between reality and dreamlikeness, evoking a contemplative, intimate, and ambiguous atmosphere. Each work invites us to pause, to connect with the essence and mystery of humanity.
