About this artwork
A table so as not to forget that there are little paradises on earth!
Admiring our dear and beautiful planet seen from the sky, just as Yann Arthus-Bertrand demonstrated with his photos of the earth seen from the sky, always gives me a strong emotion. So I wanted to pass it on in my own way.
I applied bright and intense colors with traces and grainy materials for the beaches and vegetation, and on the contrary, I painted the liquid element “watercolor… style” to highlight the contrast between the transparent depth of water and the inert and flat matter of the soil.
Considering that this painting is an aerial vision, it can be exhibited in several directions.
« I like to confront colors and materials to create a vibration and provide energy. »
Sonia Di Maccio is an established painter based in the south of France.
A graduate of ENSAAMA Paris (École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et Métiers d'Art), she began her career in advertising where she held several creative positions – roughwoman, illustrator, model maker and then art director, notably within the Euro RSCG agency (Havas).
She now paints nature in all its forms with passion. Thanks to her intuitive selection of colors and the textures that acrylic allows her to achieve, she captures the beauty of nature in a changing world to evoke emotion. Her works, characterized by luminosity and the power of color, resonate with joy and visual harmony. Her works have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions and shows across France and Europe.
