"Inside the Blue"; Large square canvas, with a 3D frame. A slightly surrealist seascape.
A version of the "barrel" (roller wave), but with water in an underwater view.
The intention here is therefore not to show something realistic;
The idea is rather to exploit the graphic side of the movement,
in contrast to the calm of the water below the waterline.
A dark blue sky over green/blue, transparent water.
In between; a blue and white circular… wave, very textured in material.
Above, the silhouette of a cormorant preparing to land.
There is a gentle, enveloping freshness in this painting. A desire to surf on imaginary water.
