About this artwork
What matters in this painting is “the in-between”; What happens between sky and water. I wanted to represent the life of the water surface, its movements, its color reflections.
Technically there is a lot of material in the wave, it is textured while the rest of the painting is smooth.
I wanted to capture the invigorating and impetuous essence of moving water. I chose acrylic for its vibrant and expressive possibilities, mixing the figurative with… a semi-abstract that invites interpretation.
The canvas is recycled. The chamfers are painted.
